Ozzy Osbourne Public Statement

The following statement was issued by Ozzy Osbourne himself and tells us about his plans for the future.

"After 10 years, I've decided that this year will be my last as the headlining act on Ozzfest. The Ozzfest is well-established now and I feel it's time for me to hand the reigns off to someone else. However, I will be performing at a few select Ozzfest shows next year."

"Despite the rumors, I don't have permanent throat problems. The truth is that after 11 straight summers on the road, I would just love to finally take a summer holiday with my wife."

You haven't heard the last from me.

God bless, Ozzy."

Into Eternity, Hammerfall and Edguy Tour Check In

The Canadian band Into Eternity is currently touring together with heavy metal bands Hamemrfall and Edguy to support their newest album "Buried In Oblivion". Guitarist Tim Roth sent this message to fans:

“Hello everyone!! The Hammerfall/Edguy tour is rolling along full steam now. We have been astonished by our fans enthusiastic response to our show. They are giving us so much energy, and every night we play as hard as we can. It's a great feeling to look out and see 1,000 people raising their metal horns!! The Eastern Canadian leg of the tour was sick! I think we made a lot of new fans and we can't wait to get back there with Stratovarius. The promoters were class acts and treated us well, so thanks to all of them."

“After our show in Montréal, Rob and I were picked up by J.F. (KATAKLYSM) and drove to his studio. Rob and I did guest work on a track for their new album called "Road to Devastation," where I played a guitar solo at the end of the track and Rob did trade off vocals in the song’s chorus. We are really good friends with them now, and have been fans of the band long before we toured together. I have to say that their new album will turn a lot of heads, the songs sound really amazing. It was a big deal for us to do our best for the KATAKLYSM guys, as we consider them our brothers."

“We hope to see all of our fans out supporting us, and we feel really lucky to be a part of such a great tour. Thanks to HAMMERFALL and EDGUY for having us out with them, they are both great bands and I think this is an awesome package. Hopefully we can meet everyone on the road!!! Keep it metal!”

Blood Freak - Band Members Killed In Car Accident

The following message was posted on the Razorback Records website:

"It is a very, very sad day for Razorback Records and the whole Horror Hive. We received a call today from Jason Grinter's wife, Martha, that Jason and the rest of BLOOD FREAK died in a horrible car accident sometime over the weekend. They had left Anaheim, BLOOD FREAK's hometown, on Friday morning and were driving to Seattle so they could begin recording their long-awaited second album, "Live Fast, Die Young, & Leave a Flesh-Eating Corpse," this week. The album was to have been the second released by Razorback Records. Jason and the boys were about to head into Portland when something went wrong and their rented van veered off the road. Tragically, all three passengers were killed in the crash. Exactly what went "wrong" with BLOOD FREAK's van isn't known yet. We hope to have more details soon. What we do know is that Razorback Records and the Horror Hive mourns the deaths of our fellow gore-hounds in BLOOD FREAK, a band that rose out of the obscurity of the '80s/early '90s death metal/goregrind underground only to be lost before its time ...
